elders is a society that is highly respected in the life of society. often people make elders as role models in behaving

basically everyone can be an elder, but not necessarily the person can be worthy of being a role model.

There are several criteria that I think an elder should have.

there are at least 5 principles underlying, as follows:

1. religious

a person can be said to be worthy of being an elder if he has had the power of relationship in religion with his god, obedient worship and away from evil deeds.

this becomes the main basis of someone elder, if not yet obedient religion then not feasible

2. social relations

the ability to do good to others must be possessed, like help, and be kind and caring for others.

3. fair

be fair both in the category of relatives, colleagues, even fair to self. if one still has a high selfishness. then he could not be fair and not worthy to be an elder

4. courtesy

arrogant attitude indicates the person is not worthy of being an elder. Elders must be courteous and noble.

5. counselor

as a role model. elders must be able to direct others toward the path of truth. directing in various ways to bring others closer to God.
